About the Role

We are seeking a skilled PSV Technician to join our team at First Bus. As a PSV Technician, you will be responsible for vehicle fault diagnostics, servicing, and repairs, including MOT preps in accordance with First Bus Standard Engineering Operating Procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle fault diagnostics, servicing, and repairs
  • MOT preps in accordance with First Bus Standard Engineering Operating Procedures
  • Compliance with all HS&E legislation and Group Policies
  • Compliance with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures
  • Maintenance and development of technical skills
Working Conditions

You will be based at our Taunton Depot, working 5 days on 2 days off shifts. We are in the process of taking in 25 electric buses to our Somerset operation, and training will be provided to see you become an EV Technician with IMI accreditation.

Benefits
  • Hourly Rate: £16.01 + £21.04 Daily Shift Premium for all shifts worked
  • 39 Hours Per Week
  • Working Shift Patterns: Sunday-Wednesday 05:00-13:00 Thursday 05:00-12:00
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 NVQ standard of equivalent (i.e., City & Guilds Level 1&2) qualification
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Aptitude to develop others within the Engineering Team
  • PCV licence is desirable or show a willingness to obtain PCV licence
