Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Special Needs

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide general classroom support, including 1:1 and small group interventions, to ensure students receive the best possible education.
  • Offer care and support as required, including personal care and mental health support, to promote students' well-being and safety.
  • Assist with lesson preparation and supervision during activities, ensuring students feel supported and engaged in a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Ensure the safeguarding of all pupils by operating in accordance with the Education Provision's safeguarding practice and policy, reporting concerns to the Safeguarding team and recording information on the EP's safeguarding system.
  • Support students to access the curriculum and promote progress and achievement.
Requirements:
  • Level 2 Literacy/Numeracy (or NVQ equivalent) and basic ICT skills.
  • A positive attitude to training and continuous professional development.
  • Experience working with pupils in formal or informal settings.
  • Punctuality, politeness, and professionalism.
  • Motivation, ability to use initiative, and work independently to meet challenges positively.
