Job Overview:

Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a specialist manufacturing business in the region to find a highly skilled Health and Safety Lead. This role will drive health and safety initiatives across the business, ensuring compliance with current legislation and regulations.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced professional who wants to make a real impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the implementation of effective health and safety policies, procedures, and practices that minimize risks and ensure employee well-being.

The ideal candidate will have Nebosh qualifications and previous experience in a manufacturing setting. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with IT proficiency and Microsoft Office expertise.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and review health and safety policies to ensure compliance with current legislation.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and mitigate safety risks, implement effective safety practices, and promote a positive health and safety culture.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, provide training and regular meetings for employees, and lead the process of risk assessments, inspections, and accident investigations.
  • Liaise with maintenance teams to ensure that machinery and equipment are installed and maintained safely, and ensure compliance with First Aid and Fire Marshall responsibilities as per company policies.

The estimated salary for this role is £58,000 - £68,000 per annum, depending on experience.
