About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at London Gatwick Airport. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing vehicles to strict company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Carry out routine safety inspections, MOT preparations, and service vehicles to a higher standard than the minimum required by law.
  2. Attend promptly to all vehicle breakdowns as requested by the Fleet/Engineering Manager or Supervisor.
  3. Complete job cards, safety inspections sheets, and drivers' defect reports accurately and efficiently.
  4. Comply with company Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
  5. Perform other reasonable work-related tasks, including travel.
Requirements
  1. Desirable: PCV/HGV Licence.
  2. Relevant City & Guilds qualifications, such as NVQ 2 in mechanical commercial vehicles.
  3. Ability to work 24/7 and flexible shift patterns.
  4. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
