Join our team at Shorterm Group as a PSV Fitter and take on a challenging role that requires a combination of mechanical and electrical skills.
About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and experienced PSV Fitter to join our team. As a PSV Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining, inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and testing mechanical and electrical systems and equipment on our modern fleet of buses and company vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems and equipment on buses and company vehicles
- Inspect and diagnose faults on vehicles
- Test and repair vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
- Carry out routine maintenance activities, such as oil changes and tire rotations
- Work with other technicians to ensure that all vehicles are maintained to a high standard
- Experience of working with mechanical and electrical systems and equipment
- Knowledge of Cummins engines and other relevant systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid car and PCV driving license (training may be provided for non-PCV license holders)
- A competitive hourly rate of £20.71 (or £24.62 for weekend work)
