We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Support Specialist to join our team at The Royal Oldham Hospital.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity offers a medicines management support service to the pharmacy and ward teams. You will be responsible for providing a strong pharmacy presence in a demanding environment, working closely with patients, relatives, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Speak to patients and relatives about their medicines, ensuring they understand their treatment plans.
  • Help prevent missed doses and facilitate smooth medication transfers between wards.
  • Work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines to deliver high standards of care.
Requirements
  • NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualifications (GCSEs, training provided).
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • Basic IT skills, good organisational skills, and self-motivation.
