Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist our chefs in preparing simple meals and ancillary items for service.
  • Wash dishes by hand or load the dishwasher, storing clean items neatly and safely.
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Operate kitchen equipment and transfer items safely between storage and work areas.
  • Ensure the kitchen is kept tidy and secure, with rubbish removed and supplies stored correctly.
  • Adhere to company Food Safety and Health and Safety policies at all times.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of Health and Safety and knowledge of maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment.
  • Up-to-date CIEH Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a catering department or kitchen is advantageous.
