Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Charge Nurse to join our team at Blake Ward, a 8-bedded female Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit. As a Charge Nurse, you will play a key role in providing leadership and operational management to the ward, ensuring the provision of high-quality nursing care to all service users.

Main Responsibilities

Assess, plan, and implement care for service users, providing specialist nursing advice and carrying out specialist nursing procedures as needed.

Provide clinical and managerial leadership to junior staff, including supervision and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.

Person Specification

We are looking for individuals who have:

  • At least 1 year of experience at Band 5
  • PICU/Acute ward experience (desirable)
  • Professional development post-qualification (essential)
  • Supervision of staff (desirable)
