We're seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Scientist to join our Personalization team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our team, you will design and develop machine learning models that scale to large quantities of data, serving high-scale low-latency recommendations to all Amazon customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement machine learning algorithms for high-scale recommendations problems.
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate successful experimental results into large-scale Amazon production systems.
- Design and execute experiments to demonstrate the technical efficacy and business value of your methods.
- Report results in a statistically rigorous and compellingly relevant manner, exemplifying good scientific practice in a business environment.
- PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or related field.
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related languages.
- Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing.
- Experience building machine learning models for business applications.
- Experience using Unix/Linux.
- Experience in professional software development.
