Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Associated Wellbeing Ltd. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support and care to children and young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans, behavioral programs, and recreational activities.
  • Supervise children with daily living tasks, such as bathing, toileting, and dressing, and participate in meal preparation and serving.
  • Lead on the development and implementation of therapeutic and educational programs, including planning activities, outings, and trips.
  • Act as a key worker for children, providing regular feedback and updates to families, and participating in home visits and school visits.
  • Contribute to the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of treatment plans and risk management plans for children and their families.
  • Ensure confidentiality and discretion in the use of information, adhering to Trust procedures on Information Governance.

Requirements:

  • Either have or be working towards an NVQ level 3 qualification.
  • Previous experience in working with children and young people, with a passion for improving their lives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of care, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
