About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit and Accounts Senior to join our team at engelhardt softwareentwicklung GmbH. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for leading a variety of complex audit assignments across multiple sectors, ensuring that all audit assignments are completed to a high standard, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage audit teams on a variety of complex assignments, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timelines.
  • Prepare and review audit files, undertake audit planning, and lead/assist with fieldwork.
  • Supervise and train junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Ensure that all audit assignments are completed in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including statutory accounts and corporation tax computations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and technical developments.
  • Develop and implement effective audit strategies to ensure that all audit assignments are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues, ensuring that all interactions are professional and courteous.
Requirements
  • ACCA/ACA qualified or almost qualified.
  • Minimum of 3 years' UK audit practice experience, with some accounts experience also required.
  • Preference for a University degree with at least a 2:1 or minimum 3 A-Levels (A, B, B or above).
  • Xero, Sage, Caseware, and CCH experience would be an advantage.
  • Fully fluent in English with proven communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong IT skills, specifically Excel and able to pick up new IT packages quickly.
  • A positive, confident, and proactive attitude, with the ability to prioritize and meet tight timeframes with high-quality output.
  • Ability to work within procedures on job aspects which will deal with facts, standards, and quality.
