We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Baker to join our team at Jarvis Johnson, a leading multi-site food manufacturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of night-shift staff and driving improvements in product quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of night-shift staff to ensure efficient and effective bread production
- Develop and implement strategies to improve product quality and consistency
- Ensure the bakery is always audit-ready and compliant with industry standards
- Monitor and maintain the condition of machinery, equipment, and utensils
- Communicate effectively with the night-shift team and provide guidance and support as needed
- Proven experience in bread production and leadership
- Excellent knowledge of traditional baking techniques and dough proofing
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, methodical, and organized with a keen eye for detail
