Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Engineer - Crane Maintenance to join our engineering service team in Ireland. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within the marine, port & harbour crane industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform commissioning, maintenance, inspection, and servicing of cranes and lifting equipment at client sites, including ports and harbours.
  • Cary out commissioning, fault finding, repairs, and inspection on a range of electrical equipment, PLC & drive systems.
  • Install electrical components.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulic and mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Oversee the commissioning, maintenance, inspection, and servicing of various client mechanical equipment.
  • Adhere to all site Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) requirements.
  • Mitigate any potential environmental risks during tasks, ensuring all safety measures are applied, particularly in offshore settings.
  • Travel outside the UK and Ireland as required to support other departments or for training purposes.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Service Electrician, Service Technician, Service Engineer, Crane Technician, Crane engineer, Hydraulic Engineer, Electrical Engineer or similar.
  • Working within the marine, port & harbour crane industry.
  • Commissioning and fault finding on electro-mechanical and/or hydro-mechanical systems.
  • A technical electrical/hydraulic qualification, apprentice trained, HNC, HND, degree or equivalent would be advantageous.
  • Full UK driving license.

Benefits: Competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, plus benefits package including health care and 31 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays).
