Job Title: Engineering Group Manager

Cancer Research UK is seeking an experienced Engineering Group Manager to lead our CRM & Marketing Engineering team. As a key member of our Engineering Leadership Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the transition to our new Salesforce platform and ensuring the successful implementation of our Engineering and Data Strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the CRM & Marketing Engineering team in transitioning from the legacy monolith Siebel to the new Salesforce platform.
  • Collaborate closely with implementation partners to ensure the new platforms meet Cancer Research UK's needs and that team members are appropriately involved in the implementations.
  • Define and deliver the Relationship Management & Marketing aspects of the Engineering Strategy, including optimising the delivery of work through the team in terms of throughput and quality.
  • Coach and develop staff in the team, ensuring they are gaining in skill, learning the new platforms, and that they can support each other through cross-skilling.
  • Provide expert insight into the ongoing development and delivery of the Relationship Management & Marketing technology elements of Cancer Research UK's Engage transformation programme.

Requirements:

  • Experience in leading teams through periods of ambiguity and transformation.
  • Knowledge of engineering best practices and DevOps culture, tools, and processes.
  • Some understanding of Salesforce and CRM platforms within hybrid environments.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills.
