Maths Academic Mentor Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maths Academic Mentor to join our team at a highly regarded secondary school in Sutton. As a Maths Academic Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students to enhance their mathematical skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing tailored Maths support to students across Years 7-11
  • Tutoring students up to GCSE level, ensuring they grasp key concepts
  • Delivering 1:1 and small group intervention sessions to help students thrive
  • Working closely with the teaching staff to maximise student potential
  • Monitoring student progress and adapting your support to meet individual needs
  • Assisting with the development of lesson plans and learning materials to enhance student understanding
  • Helping to prepare students for exams, ensuring they feel confident and ready for their assessments
  • Encouraging a positive attitude towards Maths and supporting students in overcoming any challenges they may face
