SharePoint Administrator / Developer (UK - Fully Remote)

Morgan Hunt is seeking an experienced SharePoint Administrator/Developer to manage, develop, and support our SharePoint environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering requirements, designing solutions, and maintaining SharePoint sites and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and manage SharePoint Online (O365) environments, including the creation of Hub, Communication, and Team sites.
  • Administer and manage Office 365 groups, permissions, and access controls for SharePoint sites.
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable applications, including custom forms, web parts, and workflows.
  • Extend SharePoint functionality by using modern web technologies.
  • Perform code testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth functionality.
  • Regularly maintain and update existing SharePoint applications and solutions to keep them current and efficient.
  • Troubleshoot software issues related to SharePoint and offer prompt resolutions.
  • Provide training and support for staff and customers on the use of SharePoint tools and applications.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SharePoint Online (O365) architecture and administration.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining SharePoint Hub, Communication, and Team sites.
  • Proficiency in managing O365 groups and handling SharePoint access permissions.
  • Experience in designing, coding, and implementing custom SharePoint solutions using tools like Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint Designer.
  • Ability to extend SharePoint's core functionality with custom web parts, forms, workflows, and modern technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to debug and resolve SharePoint issues efficiently.
  • Experience with software development best practices, testing, and version control.
  • Capability to configure SharePoint systems according to user requirements and organisational needs.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and gather requirements.
  • Experience providing training and support to end-users on SharePoint usage.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of SQL database administration and its integration with SharePoint.
  • Awareness of data protection principles, including GDPR, and the ability to ensure compliance in SharePoint solutions.
  • Active involvement in the SharePoint community to stay updated on best practices, emerging trends, and new features.
  • Familiarity with other Microsoft 365 tools and how they integrate with SharePoint (e.g., Teams, One Drive).
