Job Title: Research Engineer - Data Science

Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult is seeking a highly skilled Research Engineer - Data Science to join our team. As a key member of our Digital & Robotics team, you will play a pivotal role in developing innovative data and digital systems for renewable energy applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement AI and machine learning algorithms to drive the digitisation of the offshore renewable energy sector.
  • Design and develop digital twins for offshore wind farms, leveraging cloud computing and data visualisation techniques.
  • Collaborate with experts to build frameworks for offshore wind farm digital twins and engage in R&D activities, consultancies, and project work.
  • Contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology solutions for the offshore renewables sector.
Requirements:
  • Masters or PhD in Data Science, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Experience in digital services, especially using AI/ML and cloud platforms like Azure and AWS for data processing.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy devices and the ability to process data from offshore applications.
  • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and other relevant programming languages, along with good coding practices.
What We Offer:
  • Salary up to £38,300 per annum, dependent on experience.
  • Flexibility to work at home or in the office.
