About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Power Generation Modelling Expert to join our team at Tokamak Energy Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and optimising the power generation and fuel cycle systems for our fusion energy project. This will involve developing computational models to simulate the behaviour of these systems, integrating different primary loops, and assessing thermal and parasitic loads.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical engineering, physics, or a related field, and experience with computation tools such as the Aspen suite. They will also be proficient in producing system design descriptions and interface documentation, and able to analyse and interpret simulation results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement computational models for fusion fuel cycles, including tritium breeding, fuel production, and recycling processes.
  • Integrate different primary loops and assess options for secondary loop configurations.
  • Assess thermal and parasitic loads in systems such as breeding blankets, divertors, first walls, limiters, and vacuum vessel.

Requirements:
  • BSc or MSc in Chemical Engineering, Physics, Nuclear Science, or a related field.
  • Computationally competent in fuel cycle and/or power generation analysis tools.
  • Proficient in using the Aspen suite (Aspen+, Aspen Custom Modeller, Hysys, and Heat Exchanger Tools).
