The salary for this Mechanical Fitter position is £20.55 per hour for day shifts and £30.83 for overtime, with 36 standard hours per week.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team at HMNB Clyde. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for undertaking mechanical fitting activities, repairs, and inspections on systems and equipment within the estate.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent
- experience of working with mechanical systems and equipment
- knowledge of engineering drawings and maintenance documentation
- ability to interpret risk assessments and COSHH protocols
- pristine manual handling skills
- Asbestos Awareness and Confined Spaces for Competent Persons qualifications
- MOD clearance
