About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Cleaning Operative to join our team at Exeter Mail Centre. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the site is clean and safe for our customers and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the site
- Operate a variety of cleaning equipment and machinery
- Empty bins, dust and sanitise surfaces, and perform other cleaning tasks as required
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve cleaning objectives
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to the facilities team
About You
We are looking for someone who is naturally friendly, with good written and verbal communication skills. You will be able to communicate effectively with customers and managers, while complying with health and safety regulations.

We offer a competitive hourly rate, 22.5 days annual leave (rising to 25 after 5 years' service), plus bank holidays, uniform, PPE, and a defined contribution pension scheme.
