Quantity Surveyor Opportunity at Fawkes & Reece (North)

Fawkes & Reece (North) is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Grimsby. As a key member of our commercial department, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our projects, ensuring that we deliver high-quality services to our clients while maintaining a strong commercial focus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate prices and obtain quotes for works, materials, and plant in compliance with company procedures.
  • Quality check invoice details from suppliers to ensure value for money on all jobs.
  • Build strong relationships with clients to ensure open communication and meet invoicing expectations.
  • Prepare and submit regular and accurate cost/value reports.
  • Manage commercial aspects of subcontracts, including obtaining quotations, evaluating tender returns, and agreeing subcontract final accounts.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or qualifications.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects.
  • Proven experience in developing client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and project management skills.
