We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead our estate operations team as an Estate Operations Director. As a key member of our management team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality facilities management services at Stoke Mandeville Hospital through our PFI contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of hard FM services, including planned and reactive maintenance. You will also lead and develop a team of finance assistants, helpdesk operatives, and maintenance supervisors, fostering strong relationships with NHS Trust representatives and service partners.

Your primary objective will be to ensure all services comply with health, safety, and statutory regulations while achieving financial targets by optimising resources and minimising unavailability penalties. This includes attending stakeholder meetings to monitor service delivery and drive improvements, ensuring the site team always represents Sodexo in a professional and courteous manner.

About the Role:
  • Manage the delivery of hard FM services, including planned and reactive maintenance
  • Lead and develop a team of finance assistants, helpdesk operatives, and maintenance supervisors
  • Foster strong relationships with NHS Trust representatives and service partners
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and statutory regulations
  • Achieve financial targets by optimising resources and minimising unavailability penalties
About You:

To be considered for this role, you must possess previous experience managing FM contracts and influencing change where required, along with excellent team building and people management skills. Experience in coaching and influencing teams, services management, and P&L financial management is essential. A DBS check and health check are mandatory requirements. You should have good communication and analytical skills, proficiency in IT, including Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office, and experience working to ISO 9001 or similar quality systems.
