Job Description

**Job Summary**

Black Swan Group is seeking a highly skilled Surveillance Officer to join our team in the firm's markets surveillance function. As a Surveillance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and maintaining the integrity of our markets.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist in performing daily surveillance of trading activities to identify potential compliance issues.
  • Investigate and analyze potential instances of market abuse and rule breaches, and provide detailed reports highlighting the abusive behavior.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver various initiatives across surveillance, including system testing and implementation.
  • Contribute to the improvement of current systems and processes to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for policies and procedures related to surveillance.
  • Produce and analyze reports to inform business decisions and drive strategic initiatives.

**Requirements**

  • Demonstrated experience in the surveillance function of a financial services firm, preferably with experience in the equities markets.
  • A working knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
  • Experience in surveillance project delivery and a proven track record of success.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
