About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an educational setting, working closely with qualified professionals and helping to build confidence and social skills in students.



Key Responsibilities


  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to children with varied Special Educational Needs (SEN), adapting lesson plans and materials to meet their unique requirements.
  • Work alongside Specialist Teachers and Educational Psychologists to develop tailored support strategies and enhance student outcomes.
  • Encourage positive social interactions, foster independence, and de-escalate situations using a composed approach.


Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:




  • A first-class or 2:1 Psychology-related degree from a top 20 UK University.
  • Previous experience working with children with SEND.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and adapt to changing circumstances.


Benefits

This SEN Teaching Assistant role offers a competitive salary of £22,000 - £28,000 per annum, paid weekly on a PAYE basis. You will also have the opportunity to work with a welcoming school community, develop your skills and experience, and contribute to the education and well-being of students with diverse needs.
