Job Title: Nursery Chef

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chef to join our team at Beaumont House Nursery in Twickenham. As a Nursery Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and nutritious meals for our children, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook meals for 70 children, using fresh and locally sourced ingredients.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of our children, while also being mindful of food allergies and dietary restrictions.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and food storage.
  • Lead a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service and high-quality food.
  • Collaborate with our nursery team to ensure seamless service and a positive experience for our children.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a nursery or childcare setting.
  • Food & Hygiene Level Certificate Level 3 (or at least a level 2).
  • Proven experience as a Chef, with a strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food production, and culinary techniques.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Proficient in menu planning, recipe development, and cost control.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
