We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at Wincanton. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and the timely delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for loading vehicles with customer deliveries, ensuring quality standards are met, and handling stock with care to prevent damage.
  • You will operate mechanical handling equipment, check picked stock and assembled loads prior to dispatch, and maintain high standards in line with our quality processes.
  • Additionally, you will perform a range of duties to support operational efficiency and general housekeeping and hygiene standards of the warehouse and site.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within warehousing is essential, and you will have the ability to read and understand instructions, count accurately, and have the appropriate hand, eye, and foot coordination to effectively use mechanical handling equipment.
  • LLOP/Counter Balance/Reach Truck/PPT Licenses are desirable, and you will be reliable, self-motivated, a strong team player, and have a flexible approach to work.
  • You will also be physically able to assist in the movement of goods, which may include bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching, and lifting in line with Health and Safety regulations.
