Art Teacher for Middle School

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join our school in Camden. In this role, you will have the opportunity to inspire creativity and nurture young talents.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the artistic journeys of our students, helping them develop their skills and explore various art forms. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging art lessons that cater to the needs of students at various academic levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver art lessons that meet the needs of students at different academic levels.
  • Create a positive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
  • Develop and implement art curricula based on national curriculum standards.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their artistic development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art with other subjects and create cross-curricular projects.
  • Organize and oversee art displays and exhibitions to showcase students' work.
  • Stay updated on current trends and techniques in art education.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching art in a primary/secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of art history, techniques, and mediums.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to explore their artistic talents.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Creativity and passion for art education.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
