Job Description

The Adult Healthcare Assistant Weekend Only role at the NHS is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting administrative and clinical functions within our sites.

About the Job

This role involves assisting with administrative duties such as managing GP clinics, chaperoning, managing clinical waste, and stock control. You will also be required to support various service clinics, providing high-quality patient care and demonstrating adaptability to evolving clinical demands.

Main Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist patients, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Answer phone calls and handle patient enquiries efficiently, maintaining accurate records.
  • Safely dispose of clinical waste and ensure all bins are regularly emptied and cleaned.
  • Monitor and manage medical supplies and equipment, ordering stock as needed.
  • Support a range of clinical services, including Health Checks, ECGs, Phlebotomy, and Warfarin management.

Person Specification
  • Care Certificate or willingness to study and complete within 6 months.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience undertaking NHS health checks or a willingness to undertake training.
Salary and Benefits

Our estimated salary for this role is £25,500 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including opportunities for professional development and a supportive work environment.
