Nuclear Safeguards Inspector Role

The Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the UK's nuclear industry.

As a Nuclear Safeguards Inspector, you will play a crucial role in regulating safeguards across the civil nuclear industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct compliance inspections to ensure duty holders comply with relevant legislation.
  • Perform assessments of accountancy and control plans and safeguards-relevant design information.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including industry professionals and regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field, such as nuclear engineering or physics.
  • Experience in nuclear material accounting or safeguards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary: £63,975 - £73,431 per annum (plus £4,194 London Weighting Allowance if applicable).
