Job Description: Equipment Maintenance Technician

We are looking for an experienced Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team at Grant Handling Careers. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of our machinery and equipment.

Your primary focus will be on performing regular maintenance tasks, conducting thorough inspections, and implementing repairs as needed. This will involve diagnosing and resolving technical issues with our forklifts and other materials handling equipment.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent analytical abilities, and a solid understanding of mechanical systems. Previous experience working with materials handling equipment is highly desirable, as is a strong background in technical troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on materials handling equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with forklifts and other equipment
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems
  • Implement repairs and adjustments as needed
  • Interact with clients to understand their needs and preferences
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues to ensure seamless communication and coordination

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g. mechanical engineering)
  • Previous experience working with materials handling equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent analytical abilities
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
