About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Gardener to join our team at AGH Solutions Ltd. As a key member of our Estates team, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and gardens within the Airedale Estate to the highest achievable standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the grounds and gardens, including grass cutting, weed control, and litter collection.
  • Operate commercial-grade grass cutting machinery and other equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Participate in grounds improvement schemes and assist with other duties as assigned by the Head Gardener.
  • Use your initiative to resolve problems and make sound judgements in operational safety situations.
  • Work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating a high level of customer service and confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Good standard of secondary education to GCSE level.
  • Clean driving licence for a four-wheeled vehicle and ability to drive to other trust properties when required.
  • Willingness to undertake further skills/competence training as required.
  • Desirable: formal qualification in horticulture or related subject, awareness of current Health & Safety Legislation, and experience working in a hospital/healthcare/care home environment.
