Job Title: PostgreSQL Database Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join our team at LA International Computer Consultants Ltd. As a PostgreSQL DBA, you will be responsible for monitoring databases, identifying long-running queries, and fine-tuning configuration settings to improve performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor databases and identify long-running queries using query plans and analysis to improve performance.
  2. Monitor database logs for Greenplum parameter errors and fine-tune configuration settings.
  3. Develop and implement shell scripts for daily stats collection, vacuum analysis, and automation.
  4. Experience with Greenplum Command Center monitoring and gpperfmon data analysis.
  5. Monitor database performance and ensure best practices for segment health.
  6. Manage DR environments using backup and restore across data centers.
