About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled HGV Workshop Mechanic to join our team at DPDgroup.

This is a key position in our vehicle maintenance unit, responsible for servicing and maintaining our fleet of Mercedes Benz tractor units and trailers.

The successful candidate will have experience working within a similar Heavy Goods or Heavy Plant role, with knowledge of yellow goods repairs and Level 3 training in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualifications.

A LGV Class 1 Driving Licence is desirable but not essential.

As a member of our team, you will work closely with the Vehicle Maintenance Unit Manager to achieve our goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Servicing and maintaining DPD's fleet of approximately Mercedes Benz tractor units and trailers.
  • Fault diagnostics on vehicles.
  • MOT preparation for the vehicles.
  • Weekly/monthly checks of HGV vehicles.
  • Mechanical and electrical repairs on vehicles.
