Electrical Design Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Bristol. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and specifying electrical building systems, equipment, facilities, components, and products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and specify electrical building systems, equipment, facilities, components, and products
  • Develop electrical engineering concepts and solutions
  • Report and review electrical engineering options and make final proposals
  • Attend project design team meetings and coordinate with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders
  • Provide expert technical advice and problem resolution to the design office
  • Review deliverables from the design office in accordance with briefing requirements
  • Present design proposals and solutions to clients and design teams
  • Prepare specifications and coordinate with all other documentation
  • Sign-off engineering documents, schedules, drawings, calculations, and other deliverables
Requirements:
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards
  • Education to degree level in Building Services Engineering or equivalent
  • Membership of relevant institutions
  • Minimum of seven years' industry experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working on innovative projects with leading client organizations and contractors
