Job Title: SEMH LSA

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team in a thriving specialist school in Colchester.

About the Role:

We are looking for an individual who is committed to supporting students with SEMH and MLD in a small group or one-to-one setting. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and positive approach to teaching and learning, with the ability to build strong relationships with individual children.

The successful candidate will work closely with parents to ensure a seamless transition between school and home, and will be responsible for supporting students to improve engagement, interaction, and attainment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with SEMH and MLD in small groups or one-to-one settings
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the needs of students
  • Work closely with parents and other professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to supporting students
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:

No prior experience is required, but a passion for working with children and a commitment to supporting students with SEMH and MLD is essential. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
