About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Engineer to join our team at DE&S. As a Safety Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our military personnel and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical advice and support to internal and external parties on engineering design and development, and management of safety risk.
  • Identify solutions to reduce the risk to military personnel on the front line.
  • Work with colleagues at all levels to ensure compliance with relevant UK and EU legislation and regulations, MOD regulations and DE&S Policy.
  • Lead the development and management of Safety Cases at Project level.
Requirements
  • Level 4 Qualification (HNC or NQF or above) in a relevant safety, engineering, or science discipline.
  • Experience of providing technical advice and delivery of safety products or services, in a work environment.
  • Experience in the use of System Safety Management Tools and Processes.
