About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and creative Occupational Therapist to lead our Occupational Therapy and MDT Primary Teams in Tower Hamlets. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership within the Children's Community therapy team, ensuring the day-to-day operational, managerial, clinical, and Occupational Therapy professional delivery of the service.

Main Duties
  • Provide leadership within the Children's Community therapy team
  • Ensure the day-to-day operational, managerial, clinical, and Occupational Therapy professional delivery of the service
  • Work closely with therapy staff and wider partners in the borough
  • Develop and implement protocols and guidelines for service delivery
  • Manage issues such as sickness and absences

Person Specification
  • Experience of working with children in a community setting
  • Experience of working with children in special or mainstream schools
  • Experience of using research and evidence base to support families
  • Experience of working with children with a range of developmental difficulties and their families
  • Experience of working with families with different cultural backgrounds and home languages
  • Experience of audit, quality improvement, and service development
  • Experience of project management with multiple stakeholders
  • Involvement in research projects

  • Self-motivated

  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent diplomacy, problem-solving, and negotiating skills
