MRTPI Town Planner

Job Summary
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a respected and steadily growing consultancy in the hire of an MRTPI Town Planner. This is a permanent and full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing professional planning advice to external clients and other teams within the multidisciplinary business.
- Preparing, making and running a broad range of planning applications.
- Working directly with clients on a range of projects, from major residential, commercial and leisure development projects to smaller scale rural schemes.
Requirements
- A degree qualification in a relevant Planning or related degree (accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute).
- Chartered Membership of the RTPI is desirable but eligibility to apply for membership will be considered.
- Experience will ideally include recent development planning or development management experience in the private or public sector.
- High standard of technical ability with a good understanding of current town planning issues and the town planning process.
- Excellent written, oral, numerical, organisational and communication skills.
- Strong team working capabilities.
- Positive commitment to team and personal project delivery.
- Ability to apply knowledge to practical situations and pay attention to detail.
- Commercial focus.
- Full driving licence / use of a car.
Benefits
- £40,000-45,000 per annum dependent on experience.
