Job Overview

The University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinical Fellow in Hepatobiliary Surgery to join our team. As a leading HPB centre, we offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

About the Role

This full-time post is based within the Division of Surgery at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. The successful appointee will have spent time training as a General Surgeon to at least the level of ST3 Specialty Trainee and it is desirable for them to have HPB surgery experience and to have completed the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons Examination (or equivalent).

Main Responsibilities
  • To work collaboratively with a strong team-based approach to patient care, led by 7 Consultant Hepatopancreaticobiliary surgeons.
  • To develop and contribute to continuing education, professional development, audit and research within the Division and Trust.

Person Specification
  • Experience in General Surgery as a senior Trainee.
  • At least 6 months experience at ST3 level or above in Hepatobiliary resectional Surgery.
  • Experience in Audit.
  • Knowledge of good practice (GCP).
  • 2 years Experience of Hepatobiliary Surgery at ST3 level of above.
  • Completion of FRCS or equivalent.
Salary and Benefits
