Design Manager Role

We are seeking a skilled Design Manager to lead our design team in delivering a sustainable building project in Co. Carlow.

Key Responsibilities


• Manage the design process from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.

• Collaborate with multiple design disciplines and stakeholders, including external clients, design consultants, and internal teams.

• Develop and implement design solutions that meet customer needs and ensure procurement and construction on site are not adversely affected.

• Identify and resolve design issues in a timely manner, ensuring all works are included in the final design.

• Prepare and review technical aspects of the design, ensuring all necessary information is included.

• Manage the design budget and track performance, ensuring timescales are achieved and realistic deadlines are set.

• Coordinate and plan client presentations and ensure on-time submission of reviewable design data and technical submittals.

• Drive continuous improvement through post-design reviews and stay focused on efficient design solutions.

Requirements


• A background in construction, project management, or design management, with experience in project delivery.

• Strong decision-making skills and ability to manage complex technical solutions.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multiple design disciplines.

• Proven team leadership skills in office-based and virtual environments.

• Sound commercial understanding and risk management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize tasks effectively.
