Job Summary

This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with waste legislation and promoting a culture of safety, health, and welfare within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide training and advice to employees on waste legislation and procedures.
  • Act as Contract Project Manager for 3rd party service providers.
  • Collect and analyze data on waste performance and generate reports for external regulators and the Waste Committee.
  • Review and implement improvements to waste monitoring and reporting procedures.
  • Represent the organization and promote its technical specialisms internally and externally.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to projects.

Requirements

  • Educated to HNC or equivalent in a related discipline.
  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Waste Management or other relevant professional institute.
  • Demonstrable experience of project management.
  • Knowledge and understanding of UK waste legislation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Demonstrably proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
