We are seeking a talented Data Analyst to join our team at White Swan Data. As a member of our team, you will be working on a variety of different projects and collaborating with our team to ensure we deliver to our clients needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis: Dive into diverse datasets to extract meaningful patterns, trends, and insights.
  • Data Cleansing: Cleanse and process data to ensure accuracy and reliability in analysis.
  • Statistical Methods: Utilise statistical methods to interpret and validate findings, contributing to data-driven decision-making.
  • Reporting: Develop comprehensive reports to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Industry Trends: Stay updated on the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques in data analytics.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain data quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability of analytical outputs.

Must Have:

  • Proficiency in the R programming language, ideally ggplot2, tidyverse and data.table.
  • Advanced spreadsheeting skills, ideally google-sheets and Excel.
  • A passion for data analytics and a desire to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a data-oriented subject (statistics, econometrics, economics etc) and/or several years of highly relevant experience in data analysis using the above software.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience using the SQL/Sequel programming language.
  • Experience in creating compelling visualisations using tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Grafana software.
  • Experience of data manipulation, management and reporting.
  • Adept at solving analytical problems with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • A passion and understanding of sports and sports betting markets/odds.
