We are seeking an experienced and skilled Medical and Surgical Ward Nurse to join our team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality patient care to children and young people. As a Medical and Surgical Ward Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering individualized care to patients, as well as contributing to the development of the ward team.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and plan individualized care for patients, taking into account their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring that patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate care.
- Contribute to the development of the ward team, participating in multidisciplinary meetings and contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive seamless care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring that patients receive evidence-based care.
- Registered Nurse (Degree/Diploma) with current registration with the NMC.
- Experience of working in a paediatric ward or similar setting.
- Knowledge of current issues within acute healthcare, including infection control and evidence-based practice.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, communicating effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to assess and plan individualized care for patients, taking into account their physical, emotional, and social needs.
