Safety Engineer Position

About the Job:
We are looking for a skilled Safety Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems in Coventry. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for leading product safety hazard and risk identification, management, and assessment activities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Lead product safety hazard and risk identification, management, and assessment activities
- Oversee the administration and management of the Project Hazard Log
- Complete peer reviews and assurance tasks to demonstrate the adequacy and robustness of the Safety Case and supporting documentation
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A STEM degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of HAZOP/HAZIN/FTA
- Experience in the use of Safety Management Systems (SMS)
