About the Role


We are seeking a talented Bioinformatics Specialist to join our team at the Centre for Tumour Microenvironment to provide and maintain the bioinformatics core function for the National Institute for Health and Care Research Barts Biomedical Research Centre.


The successful candidate will be working within the project group to lead the bioinformatics components and provide bioinformatics and computational expertise to on-going research activities.


About You


Essential requirements for this post include an MSc or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genetics, Genomics or a relevant discipline. You must demonstrate knowledge and experience in large-scale data analysis, especially next-generation sequencing data sets, e.g., RNA-seq, whole-exome sequencing and/or ChIP-seq.


Experience in single-cell RNA-seq analysis, spatial omics and machine-learning is highly desirable. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good laboratory records are also essential.
