Join us at Media Molecule, a leading game developer and part of the PlayStation Studios group, as a Senior Technical Artist. In this role, you will work closely with artists and animators to deliver cutting-edge visual effects and animations, while developing in-house engine extensions and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects, leverage your technical expertise and creative flair to drive innovation, and be part of a dynamic and inclusive team. You will design and implement custom shaders and effects using modern shader languages, developing in-house engine extensions to support game-specific art and animation features.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement custom shaders and effects using modern shader languages.
  • Develop in-house engine extensions to support game-specific art and animation features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build tools that enhance the creative process.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience in a similar level in technical art role combined with a passion for game visuals and collaboration with Art and Animation teams.
  • Ability to creatively apply real-time rendering techniques to achieve artist intent.
  • Experience with C++ and/or Python programming languages to build tools for creative disciplines.
  • Familiarity with 3D digital content creation tools, such as Blender or Substance.

Our salary range for this position is estimated to be around $95,000-$115,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
