We are seeking a dedicated Health Equity Project Coordinator to join our team in making a positive impact on the lives of young people in under-served communities. As a valued member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering first aid training sessions that cater to the unique needs of these communities.

Job Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with our project team, Community Champions, and local organizations to plan and deliver first aid training sessions in the community. You will be responsible for facilitating training to upskill young people and volunteers, ensuring training sessions are risk-assessed and registered according to St John Ambulance policy, and providing pastoral support and guidance to Community Champions.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the project team to develop and deliver first aid training sessions tailored to the needs of under-served communitiesIdentify and build partnerships with local organizations and educational settings to support project delivery and promote the project within local communitiesFacilitate training to upskill young people and volunteers to become Community ChampionsEnsure training sessions are risk-assessed and registered in line with St John Ambulance policyProvide pastoral support and guidance to Community Champions as neededRequirements:
To succeed in this role, you should have experience in youth work or working with young people in a community context, planning and delivering community-based training, safeguarding, and understanding of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion. You must also possess advanced planning, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to establish strong working relationships at all levels.
Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of £32,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience, as well as generous pension, hybrid flexible working, 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays), options to buy and sell holiday, free first/mental aid first aider courses, Blue Light and NHS online shopping discounts, cycle to work scheme, life assurance, flu jab, eye care, mental health and wellbeing tools, and volunteering days.
