Production / Lab Operative Job Opportunity

Acorn by Synergie is seeking a skilled Production / Lab Operative to join their team at their client's facility in Ashover, near Chesterfield.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to assist in the testing and inspection of construction materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating machines and tools, recording test results, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Testing construction materials
  • Recording test results
  • Operating machines and tools necessary to obtain samples or carry out examinations
  • Maintaining accurate and legible records and prepare reports as required by the Laboratory's Quality System
  • Initiating actions to prevent/minimise deviations
  • Working in accordance with UKAS accredited quality system
  • Adhering to strict health and safety procedures

Requirements:

  • Experience in general labouring and testing work
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Ideal candidate will have a CSCS card, although this is not essential
  • Ideal candidate will have a full clean driving licence
  • Ability to prioritise workload and multitask
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Minimum Grade C GCSE in Maths, English and a Science subject

About the Company:

Acorn by Synergie offers full training, excellent working conditions, and genuine opportunities for progression.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm, 40 hours per week.

Salary:

Starting salary will depend upon experience, but will be between £29,000 and £32,000 per annum. This increases after completion of all training and a successful probation period.
