About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team, supporting the senior surveyor/commercial manager in various aspects of site appraisal, tender preparation, budgeting, and administration.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct site appraisals and land valuations to inform business decisions
  2. Prepare comprehensive tender packs for subcontractors and materials
  3. Develop and manage site budgets, including take-offs and cost estimates
  4. Compare and analyze subcontract and materials quotes
  5. Issue orders for subcontractors, materials, and plant
  6. Process variation orders and payments
  7. Collate and maintain subcontractor health and safety information
  8. Provide general administrative support, including filing and record-keeping
Requirements
  1. Degree in a relevant field (e.g., construction management, quantity surveying)
  2. Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry
  3. Strong administration and organizational skills
  4. A keen interest in construction and logistics
  5. Ability to travel to London and Hertfordshire
