Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join our team at a one-form entry school in Manchester. The successful candidate will work one-to-one with a year 4 pupil, assisting them in overcoming barriers to learning and dealing with behavioural issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a year 4 pupil with challenging behaviour and special educational needs
  • Develop and implement individualized educational packages to meet the pupil's needs
  • Work closely with the class teacher to identify and address any additional needs
  • De-escalate any threatening or aggressive behaviour and provide a safe and positive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with challenging behaviour and special educational needs
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized educational packages
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
